attention All Youth--REMINDERS

we have 2 fundraisers for the portables (classrooms) coming up:

1.  TODAY - carwash at corner of Salem/Dam Neck - look for Ms. Chona Decastro or Ms. Beth Gan (organizers)

2.  Back-to-School Yard Sale (SEPTEMBER 26-27) - all day (start collecting your gently used clothes to sell and contact Ms. Tes for details on dropoff)

YOUTH GROUP KICK-OFF - September's 2nd Saturday Mass (Sept 12)

COME TO ST. LUKE's 2nd SATURDAY BACK-TO-SCHOOL MASS - September 12, 2009 followed by light reception, praise & worship session and inspirational speaker.

FAITH FORMATION begins September 13.  If you're interested in being a catechist or assistant, please contact Deacon Larry.  Make sure to register if you are in grades K-11.  Schedule is as follows:

GRADES K-3, CICCA (4th grade and above) will meet after the 7 am Mass from 8:15-9:15 am

GRADES 8-11/12 and CICCA grade 3 will meet after the 9:30 am Mass from 10:45-11:45 am

GRADES 4-7 and special need students will meet after the 12:00 Mass from 1:30-2:30 pm.

St. Luke YaYA weekly social continues on Tuesdays with Beach Volleyball on 19th Street at 6 pm

St. Luke youth prayer group will begin in late August.  Coordinated by Rachel Estrada and Leslie Enriquez and the St. Luke Young Adults (rotation of speakers).  Stay tuned for details.

Diocesan Filipino Youth Forum is cancelled and will be rescheduled in the Fall.  Any filipino youth or young adult in getting involved in this process of informing the diocese of the needs and interests of filipino youth is welcome to participate (contact Ms Tes Estrada)

ATTENTION:  Ms. Tes is forming a St. Luke YaYA Ministry Board comprising of representatives from various youth ministries in the parish (e.g., Shoenstatt youth, Hispanic Youth, CFC youth, MHCC youth, Altar Servers, YaYA Choir, youth group, etc.).  ALL ministries should send a youth or young adult representative to represent the young people in their ministry or group.  Date - September 12, 2009 at 3 pm

As you come and get to know other youth at St. Luke's by getting involved in Youth Group Activities, members plan many social activities outside of youth group for MORE fun and fellowship.
